A Little About Myself:
My full name is Jacob Lindhardt Palm and I am born on June 9, 1974, in Denmark.
I grow up in Strib, where my parents taught my brothers and me sailing from very young age. Summers were spent sailing; either keel boat family holidays in Denmark or regattas. Since the teenage years it has also been parent-free keel boat holidays with friends, but I'm unfortunately getting too attached and too old for this...
In early 1995 I worked as a tourist guide at a South African safari, giving tours in Scandinavian, German, English and Afrikaans.
I served in The Danish Marine Corps (Marinekompagniet), a unit under the army, in 1995-96 (including the worst winter of the decade) where I got combat training and specialised as a light machine gun infantry soldier.
After the marine corps I coached first Pakistan and then South Korea in sailing, and later I delayed my studies to coach Singapore (See Best results in Sailing).
I'm a MSc. Forestry (Cand.Silv.) from Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen. As I spent 2000-2002 coaching Singapore full time, I finished my education rather late. Definitely I had some good time in Singapore, so I have no regrets on being a bit 'academically slow'!

Tracy
My lady is Tracy Tan. She's a sister to a sailor I used to coach. Spotted her after a regatta in 2001, and started dating her after her bro had retired from optimist.
She always makes my heart go BOOM!
She's a master of Political Science from National University of Singapore. We are still half a world from each other, but I sense light at the end of the tunnel, as we plan to be together after we have been working for a year. Hopefully we can find a job in the same region. Does anyone know of good job opportunities for masters of political science and forestry? To comfort me while I miss her, I have my motto: "The Perfect Life Is Strewn With Obstacles".
August 28 2003, I proposed to her, and she gave me her YES! Lucky me!!!
I love you baby!

My SWEET Suqin!
I am so lucky that this wonderful Singapore Princess is going to marry a country boy like me!
I CAN'T WAIT!!!
She handles a keel boat like she's born there!
I'm so proud of you!
